Storytime Part II: The police stopped me in Turkey

Hello all!

I want to tell you the second part of the story that I posted some days ago. If you haven't checked it out I would recommend you read it. Just scroll down a bit more.

After almost 20 minutes of questions, the policewoman finally stopped. She started to tellme that everything was ok. That they believed all the info that I told them. However, she added something that even today shocks me.
They told me that the reason why I was interviewed was that I was 25 years old and traveling by myself to a country that they didn't consider safe enough. Then they said that I may want to get married to a member of ISIS LOL. Isn't dumb that I wanted to marry an ISIS member having lots of criminals in my own country to marry instead? LOL for me it is.

And well after that experience, my life in the airports is not the same. Don't get me wrong. I love being in the airport the feelings are great.
But this anxiety of arriving in a new country and being stopped every time is not nice.

Have you experienced something similar? Let me know in the comments.

Every place is magic...

Every place is magic, but don´t expect an Instagram-filtered  image  when you arrive. Nature is not perfect.

Storytime: I dislocated my finger while driving. I know it was stupid.

Hello all! I have a hilarious story for you guys, sometimes I feel my life is a comedy. I´m a distracted person and is getting worse. Sometimes I find my keys in the fridge or even my phone among other strange situations that I provoke in myself. I was driving to Cuernavaca, Morelos which is a state close to Mexico City. I was leaving a work meeting so I was feeling very euphoric and excited. Sometimes I´m not patient so that day I was wearing boots, and Cuernavaca is a warm place so I wanted to switch my boots for sandals.  I stopped at the red light, and I tried to take off one of my boots. I was doing it roughly and fast. I pulled with all my strength and.... my thumb dislocated :(. When I saw my thumb hanging I freaked out!. I was completely shocked. The red light changed to green and I moved the gear but avoided looking at my thumb.  I pulled over and called my parents. I explained the situation very excitedly and suddenly I started to pass out. I listened like an e...

Tips for your trip: Does "Coco" the movie like you?

Today in  Mexico we "celebrate" the Day of the Dead. We usually make an "ofrenda" which we offer our deads their favorite foods and snacks. People believe the dead will come in the middle of the night to eat the essence of the food. There are some fantastic places to see this colorful celebration: Mexico City: Día de los Muertos parade. Get there super early if you want to enjoy it. Oaxaca Downtown: The most cultural state of Mexico has always had the best traditional festivities.  Mixquic: This small town is located 30 mins away from Mexico City, personally my favorite for this celebration. The creators of "Coco" were inspired by this place. Did you know about these places? Let me know in the comments
